The profile of the astrotourist in Aragon — keys to guide sustainable tourism

← Resources Library  |  Case studies & destinations

A study of 407 astrotourists visiting Aragon, Spain (Societies, MDPI), analysing their profiles and travel motivations. Almost half hold university-level qualifications (49.39%), the predominant travel pattern is as a couple or a family, rural accommodation is preferred, and 43.98% travel specifically for astrotourism. The findings are directly useful for defining target audiences, designing experiences and writing marketing messages — and they confirm the profile of a visitor seeking knowledge-enriching, emotional and nature-based experiences.
